Membership

How to become a member:

To become a member of the club you must first be a member of 'The Academy of Model Aeronautics'. (A.M.A.) Becoming a member of A.M.A. provides the club with considerable liability insurance in the event of personal injury or property damage. You need to read and accept the 'Airfield Flying Rules' listed below, and then complete the 'Membership Application and Renewal Form'. The completed form is mailed to the club Secretary for processing. You will need to attend the next Monthly Meeting to be introduced as a prospective new member and then return for the next Monthly meeting to be voted on by the membership as 'accepted' or 'denied'. If you are accepted, you will be given the combination to the padlock on the airfield gate.

  7. Always use the Frequency Control Kiosk even if you're the only one at the field when you arrive.  Take the channel card from the board and clip your membership card in its place.  Remember, if for any reason a member or guest causes damage to a plane by powering up a transmitter without  first securing the frequency control card, the offender shall be responsible for damage done.  The offender shall make whole any losses immediately.

  15. Announce your landings and takeoffs clearly.  (Specify your intention and direction.)
